Hey, my friend! Welcome to DEEP Talks on Vaptalks, where we share real, heartfelt chats. I’m just a guy who’s been in the corporate grind since 2022, learning life’s big lessons through ups and downs. In 2024, I’m here to share those with you, to help you live better, fuller. Today, let’s talk about something deep: “Don’t Have Regrets.” Curious? Come, let’s dive into a story that’ll hit your heart.
Picture this: I was in 11th grade, a clever student, always in class, soaking up knowledge. But one day, I missed school. That day, they picked students to be teachers for Teacher’s Day. My friends got subjects to teach, and I was left out. My heart sank. “Yaar, main kyun nahi tha?” I thought. That regret ate me up all year. Next year, my last chance, I missed the selection again. I felt crushed, like I’d lost something big. But then, I decided, “Bas, ab nahi. I won’t let this slip.”
I went to my teachers, nervous but determined. “Sir, mujhe bhi chance chahiye,” I said. They told me it was late, but I could ask my friends to share their lectures. I felt awkward, yaar. No other boy was doing this. What if they laughed? But I pushed through, talked to my friends, and got four lectures. Guess what? I taught without books, just my heart and brain. The class loved it! They laughed, learned, and at the end, they picked the best teacher. And who was it? Your own Vap! That day, my heart was flying. No regrets, only pride.
You’re probably thinking, “Vap, yeh toh badi baat hai, par life mein toh kuch na kuch chhut jata hai bunny!” You’re right, bunny. Something always slips. But here’s the thing: regret comes when you don’t try. I could’ve sat quietly, thinking, “Kya fayda, ho gaya na.” But I tried, and even if I’d failed, I wouldn’t regret it. Why? Because I gave my best.
Think about your life. Maybe there’s something you’re holding back on. Saying “I love you” to someone? Chasing a dream? You might say, “Kal kar lunga, abhi kya sochne ka?” But ask yourself: what if tomorrow doesn’t come? It’s a scary thought, right? We don’t know if we’ll wake up. So why wait? If there’s something you’d regret not doing, do it now. Call that friend and say, “Bhai, tu kaisa hai? Bahut yaad aa raha hai.” Tell your parents, “Maa, Papa, aap mere liye sab kuch ho.” Take that small step, even if it feels scary.
I’m talking to you, my friend, right now. I know life feels heavy sometimes, work, family, stress. I’ve felt it too, the grinding in corporate life. But you deserve a life with no regrets. You don’t need to climb mountains. Just do one small thing today that makes your heart say, “Haan, maine kar diya!” Maybe it’s singing a song loudly, eating your favorite golgappa, or just smiling at yourself in the mirror.
